This is supposed to be helpful when talking to people. Instead of just telling your friends what you like, tell them what you hate as well. So name your likes and dislikes and maybe even why you chose them, so everyone can avoid bringing up certain topics around you altogether. Some are easy, some harder. Have fun :)

1. first thing that comes to mind when thinking about like / dislike
2. song / band / singer / music in general
3. movie / TV show
4. food
5. article of clothing
6. book
7. colour
8. work
9. place to go for the holidays
10. something ordinary / out of your everyday life / interesting about yourself

My answers are under the cut - beware of the novel length and potentially bad grammar - it's late and I don't want to reread it - again ! *g*

1. I'd like to sleep right now since it's late and I have to be up early.
I hate getting up early :)
2. I love a lot of songes. My radio is my best friend:)
Right now my favourite songs are "Rihanna - Don't stop the music" as a fast/happy song and
'Peter Cincotti - Goodbye Philadelphia' as a slow song.
Of course I dislike songs as well (radio listener !!!). One that gets extremely on my
nerves is when Peter, Björn & John' whistle their way through 'Young Folks'.

There aren't many bands I really like. The Rascal Flatts stand out as my favourite and
Nickelback is cool music as well.
I really don't like the Bloodhound gang - neither text nor lyrics nor personality. And
there's too much Red Hot Chili Peppers playing on my radio for my taste :)

As singers I really like all the girls with a nice or powerful voice, who make music I can
sing along with and I don't like Eminem :)

I'm a pop girl when it comes to general music and not afraid to admit it. County's nice as
well though. Just anything to sing along with really :) Now it's easy what I dislike: Rap
and most RnB most.

3. Favourite movies are the 3 Lord of the Ring movies. They did the books justice.
The other one is Sweet November, though there are a lot of other good movies out there and
I watch nearly every genre besides horror and war stuff - especially fantasy and romance.
My least favourite one is Erkan und Stefan and similar stupid comedies ( Ali G etc.). And I
was severely disappointed with The Ring (American version). They a bad movie out of a
really good book.

The same general taste applies. Fantasy / sci-fi and romance is the way to go. That's why
Roswell is my number one and things like Stargate and Heroes grabbed my attention later.
And cooking shows - they are great too :)
I don't like most of the reality TV shows. I really can't understand why I should watch
people meeting after 15 years or something like that.
4. My favourite food is lunch :) No, really, I like most things from lunch. And all kinds of
fruit and vegetable.
Now the shocker: I don't like chocolate ! There are a few things with chocolate I love but
I generally don't like chocolate. And most other sweet things. I could live without cake
half a year if I had to.
5. Ohhh that's difficult. I like my clothes comfortable, so nothing skintight - unless I want
to go outside and look beautiful. Then it's OK to be uncomfortable for a while :) But not
at home or work or uni.
Dislike is easier *g* I don't like high heels or better "high hells". I can't walk in them
(ironically I can run but I don't wear shoes like that when I want to run!). They are
torture for my poor feet :)
6. I have two favourite book series: the Lord of the Rings and The Ring. Both wonderfully
written though completely different genres.
I'm insanely bored with a few of the books I had to read at school. I enjoy reading, but I
don't want to have to think during a comedy (Shakespeare) or read about politics. That's
why I hat "Der Untertan" - it nearly bored me to death and I never read it completely.
7. I like pastel colours a lot as they are soothing. I'm not a fan of black (even though my
art teacher insists black is no colour) unless in clothes because it's dark and negative
and that's a big clash with my personality.
8. I love working with people - especially children - in almost any capacity. It's just so
much fun to teach them and see their naivety and innocence at work.
I think I'd go crazy working on my own - without others around me to talk to. I can do that
for a week or two and then I'd go crazy. Something like secretary wouldn't sit well with me
either for long periods of time as I need to use my brain to keep it in working order. And
no hard manual labour please - I'm a petite and frail female :)
9. I love to go anywhere. I've been all over Western Europe and have yet to hate it.
Traveling is great but I'd love to leave Europe - see Mexico (Chichén Itzá, Mayas), Egypt
(pyramids and all the other things), China (great wall, Verbotene Stadt, etc.), Japan,
India (Taj Mahal), the USA (a National Park, the Grand Canyon), Australia (Ayers Rock,
Reef), New Zealand (Kiwis!) etc. So much to do still. I'm a friend of old cultures and I
need to see some sights wherever I go.
I don't want to go to some beach island with nothing to do but swim and tan. Don't get me
wrong, I like to do that as well but not for extended periods of time. I can just wait
until the global warming brings this weather to me in the future and save the money :)
10. I love "Nimm 2 Gummibären" (German gummy bears) even though I don't like sweets. And even
though my friends know I don't like sweets , they still buy me stuff for my birthday or
Christmas *g*
I hate it when girls wear low riding pants und short shirts, giving me a nice view of their
underwear that I didn't ask for. And it's especially disturbing during winter,
when they wear this stuff and then a really short, thick jacket and the longest scarf known
to mankind (yes I'm thinking about a certain person). Why bundle up your throat instead of
your kidneys ? So you can still scream in pain when the kidneys fail ? *shakes head*
